GSPCA Legislative Sub Committee

In June, 2007 The GSPCA established the Legislative sub committee under the Health and Welfare Committee. With the increasing political threat to our enjoyment of owning this versatile breed we need to proactively protect our rights. Because of our breed's versatility, we are targeted by the Animal Rights movement more than most. The areas that are of immediate concern to us are Breeding Restrictions, Ear Cropping, Tail Docking and Dewclaw Removal, Hunting Restrictions, Use of Live Birds, Land Use issues. The times of just enjoying our dogs and our sport are incrementally being taken away from us by the Animal Rights extremists.

National Animal Interest Alliance

The mission of NAIA is to promote the welfare of animals, to strengthen the human-animal bond and safeguard the rights of responsible animal owners.

Sportsmen's and Animal Owners' Voting Alliance

The Sportsmen's and Animal Owners' Voting Alliance (SAOVA) is a nationwide, nonpartisan group of volunteers seeking to elect politicians who will oppose the "Animal Rightist" (AR) threat to our rights as Americans. It is the only national group working to protect both sportsmen and animal owners, natural allies, in the legislative and political arenas. SAOVA's members hunt, fish and own livestock, dogs, cats and other pets. We study political candidates in all states to identify those who understand and resist the AR threat, as well as those who are in the pocket of the Animal Rightists.
